'Any person can do yoga but a person cannot do any yoga'  Your yoga practice must be suited to you not the other way around. Simply Yoga is a yoga practice that meets everyone exactly where they are. At the root of Simply Yoga teaching is re-learning your natural breath. Each class and workshop starts with the premise of building proper breath (we often hold and change our natural healthy breath due to continuing body/mind stress). Asana (posture) practice is there to help us to free up the breath even more from tight holding patterns within our body. Mental relaxation techniques allow us to let go of gripping onto problems rather than allowing solutions to occur. Each class will help you to not only let go of that which isn't working for you but also to learn to rebuild the body with proper alignment and strengthening sequences. Each season the emphasis of your yoga practice will change so as to learn more about how nature itself can have a deep affect on how our bodies and practice feels.

Simply Yoga is a new way to move your Asana. It encourages you to find your own way in and around the traditional postures and to then work in a gentle-undulating spiral within them. This type of Yoga can un-knot and unwind and remedy old and new injuries and find a long lost youthful fluidity within your day-to-day movements. Your practice will use the whole body to initiate and develop the breath. Intimacy with the breath uncovers the still quiet place within us bringing forth easy meditation.
