Water Element — Connection & Stress
In this conversation, we explore how the water element helps us cope with stress through connection — to self, others, nature, spirit, and the flow of our own nervous system. When we lose that sense of flow, it’s hard to return to centre. Ayurveda reminds us that some of us are naturally more “nervous” — adaptive, creative, attuned to change — while imbalance comes when ongoing stress overloads the system.

Together, we look at personality pressure points that intensify stress: self-criticism, duty and obligation, perfectionism, and people-pleasing. These patterns can even show up in practice — zoning out, worrying about others, or skipping your own mat time. By seeing these tendencies with kindness, we begin to ease pressure, restore flow, and meet the world with more steadiness and self-connection.
