In this “pick and mix” session, we’ll draw from the Water Element by exploring three of its gunas — fluidity, lubrication, and cooling/soothing. Together, we’ll practice how to soften stress patterns that feel rigid or stuck, often marked by unconscious wiring, deep fatigue, or fear around symptoms.
With fluidity, we explore flexibility through the breath — teaching the body to move with, rather than against, sensation. With lubrication, we gently open the joints and tissues through mindful movement, restoring a sense of ease. With cooling/soothing, we calm the inner “fire” of stress with water practices, like sitkari pranayama and sipping breath, inviting coolness and relief into both body and mind.
As these qualities settle into the nervous system, we rediscover flow — a felt sense of safety, adaptability, and renewal.
